# RosterField

> RosterField is a public information website for a roster-publishing service. Teams continue planning rosters in Excel, then use RosterField to prepare, review, and publish a controlled roster view for workforce access.

The public information pages describe product workflow, industries, pricing, support and data handling; they do not expose live roster records. The separate /app/ service handles signed-in review and publication. Its worker links allow unauthenticated name search, not private individual worker accounts. The isolated public demo uses fictional data or temporary non-sensitive test uploads and cannot publish.

## Import and review boundaries

The importer supports CSV/XLSX horizontal matrices, transposed matrices and shift lists. Matrix records may use physical source-position identifiers; shift lists need employee identifiers. Personnel belong to each upload, without cross-file merging. The action-first review opens correction panels and requires a refreshed preview after edits. Unfamiliar non-empty daily statuses preserve cleaned source text and require confirmation; a blank mapping does not discard them. A blank source-cell correction intentionally removes a proposed value without rewriting the original upload. The publication sample is limited to the first 100 entries in 10-row pages; totals and source boundaries must also be checked. Selected date windows have a 140-inclusive-day maximum and can explicitly cover historical dates. The service does not calculate formulas, schedule shifts, calculate payroll or certify compliance.

AI mapping assistance is disabled by default and not used by the public demo. When configured in the signed-in app, a locally anonymised structural sample from the first 40 physical rows and 40 columns is sent to OpenAI, not the raw workbook. See the Privacy Policy for handling details.
